Lucy + Logan Carl House Wedding : Auburn, GA Wedding Photographer

Lucy and Logan had such a joy filled wedding day! It was amazing to see all of her family and friends come together to help create the perfect wedding day for her and Logan. The two got married at The Carl House in Auburn, Ga. and every detail of the day was planned perfectly!

Lucy and Logan met met online! It was through a funny little app called Coffee Meets Bagel. They bonded quickly over their shared faith and characteristics. Lucy said, “We each recognize in each other a kindness and thoughtfulness in the way we live our lives. Plus, we have a very similar cadence of wanting an occasional grand adventure sprinkled in the midst of a lot of low key evenings and weekends. We just matched up really well on the major things of life and the simple every day things, as well as always having fun together, making each other laugh, and the spark of romance being there.” The rest was history and they ended up getting engaged on a mini golf date that held special meaning from a previous date!

Here are Lucy and Logan’s favorite memories from the day: “For Logan one particularly special moment was right after we were married and back in the ballroom. Each one of his groomsmen came up to him one by one and gave him a big congratulatory hug. For Lucy, there were so many things! It took me days into the honeymoon to process all the memories and interactions, and I’m still remembering and reliving weeks later! Putting together bouquets with my bridesmaids that morning is one that stands out to me. I was warned and secretly a little bit apprehensive that DIY flowers can be stressful! My mom deserves a lot of credit for all her work and it meant that the morning of my wedding I got to spend time putting together my own bouquet from a beautiful array of flowers with my bridesmaids by my side jammin’ to some music. For both of us: my dad reading a poem he had written especially for the occasion was definitely a major highlight! He struck just the right amount of tenderness and humor.”

Every detail of the day had special meaning and significance. From the ring boxes that were her grandparents, all the way to the significance of the lavender used in all of the floral arrangements. Lucy’s grandfather’s house in Wales that she would visit over the summers of her childhood had a huge lavender bush. It was a distinct memory for her and was a great way to incorporate his memory into the day.
I loves Lucy’s explanation of the sixpence! “There was a sixpence coin in my shoe – the rhyme “something borrowed, something blue…” actually finishes with a line about “and a sixpence in her shoe!” that’s not as commonly known, but my father is British, and it’s a part of our family tradition. My coin was from the Victorian era!”
The antique cake topper was from Lucy’s great grandparents’ anniversary party!

After the wedding, I went with Lucy and Logan to a Waffle House down the street for some fun candids portraits! It was such a cute idea and a relaxing way to end the night!
