One of my best and dearest friends is getting married! I met Sudipta in 8th grade. She helped me survive the awkward years of middle and high school! We would have sleepovers and talk about boys while eating cookie dough ice cream. We went our separate ways in college, but have always been able to pick right back up when we see each other.
She ended up meeting the perfect man while she was in Nashville, TN getting her graduate schooling on at Vanderbilt. (Did I mention that she is smart… really smart!?) Sudipta is one of the sweetest people you will ever meet, and so fun! When she first told me about Chris I was so excited for her! They are perfect for each other! Chris has a quiet confidence about himself. You can tell that he will support her and stand by Sudipta no matter what. And I have never seen her so happy! Congratulations you two!
She had an engagement party at Poona in Duluth, GA. They were surrounded by friends and family as they made their engagement official. In the Indian community, it is tradition to hold an engagement ceremony to officially announce your engagement. It was a beautiful ceremony filled with blessings from friends and family. They even got to sit up on their very own thrones 🙂 I got to meet some of Sudipta’s other bridesmaids. They were just as genuine and sweet as Sudipta is! I can’t wait until the wedding in April. My friend Elle Golden Photography will be capturing the day. (I even get to wear a Sari!)
